THIS is just as easy as it gets. And still a lot of fun! A low-prep primary activity for those busy summer weekends.

How To Play

There’s 2 different printables available here which gives you a couple options:

If you’re reviewing lots of songs, I suggest using the numbers “1”, “2”, “3”, etc. Lay them down on the floor in your primary room with the “5” being farthest away and the “1” being the closest. All the other numbers in between. Provide a bean bag and call on a child to toss at the numbers. Whichever number it lands on, will be how many notes the piano will give of the next song. The class then tries to “Name That Tune”.

If you’re working on just a song or two, this next option will work great. Use the targets with the numbers “”10”, “20”, “30”, etc. lay them out ,again, with “50” being farthest away and the “10” being the closest. With the other numbers in order in between. After every time the song is sung, a new child is selected to toss the bean bag. The number that the bean bag lands on is how many points the class will get for that round. Keep track up on the chalkboard! Then the next round begins. Sing through the song again and choose a different child to toss the bean bag. See if the class can get to 100 before the end of primary. If the child goes for a big number and misses, that’s the chance they take and its all apart of the game. ONLY ONE TURN PER ROUND! That’s where the excitement lies.
